Background: 

When the 987.2 Boxster/Cayman was introduced for the 2009 model year it represented a major mechanical and ascetic redesign for the platform and the end of the truly analog Porsche Sports Car. The introduction of the new 9A1 DFI (Direct Fuel Injection) Engine eliminated all of the potential issues associated with the previous engine design. The vehicle offers focused performance from the 3.4-liter 310 HP engine, the all new PDK (Porsche Double Clutch) 7-Speed Transmission shifts seamlessly and she handles like a dream.
