This 2006 987.1 is the second-generation of the Boxster with a clear connection back to the original 986 Boxster of 1997.  The 2.7 liter 242hp M97 Flat 6 Engine offers spirited performance and although still constructed with an IMS Bearing, this example was built in June 2006 and therefore has the most reliable and strongest double row version. When the 987.2 Boxster/Cayman was introduced in 2009 it represented a major mechanical and ascetic redesign for the platform. The introduction of the DFI Engine put to rest all of the potential issues associated with the previous engine design. The vehicle offers focused performance and handles like a dream.
