The 981 is my favorite generation of the Porsche Boxster and this GTS ticks all the boxes for me, introduced in 2015 it was the highest specification Boxster offered at the time. The 3.4-liter 6-cylinder engine rated at 330hp offers a substantial increase in performance over the S model.  The engine sounds magical under acceleration with the Sport Exhaust engaged and PASM offers Go Kart like handling! This 2006 987.1 is the second-generation of the Boxster with a clear connection back to the original 986 Boxster of 1997.  The 2.7 liter 242hp M97 Flat 6 Engine offers spirited performance and although still constructed with an IMS Bearing, this example was built in June 2006 and therefore has the most reliable and strongest double row version. The 5-speed manual gearbox is silky smooth and the mid-engine configuration yields go kart like handling.  If you’ve been dreaming about owning something like this for the last 18 years now’s your chance! When the 987.2 Boxster/Cayman was introduced for the 2009 model year it represented a major mechanical and ascetic redesign for the platform. The introduction of the new 9A1 Engine eliminated all of the potential issues associated with the previous engine design. The all new 7-Speed PDK (Porsche Double Clutch) Gearbox was and is considered a design revelation. The vehicle offers focused performance from the 2.9-liter 255 HP engine, the PDK shifts seamlessly, and the mid-engine configuration offers go-kart like handling.  This beauty won’t last long! Iconic 1995 Porsche 911 993 Carrera Cabriolet with 6-Speed Manual Gearbox! Finished in stunning, Midnight Blue Metallic, with Blue Convertible Top and contrasted by a Cashmere/Blue Partial Leather Interior. The vehicle was delivered to its first owner in California in the spring of 1995 and has only accumulated 28k miles in the following 28 years. It’s in beautiful unmodified condition, the paintwork gleams, the new OEM convertible top is stunning, the interior are in excellent condition, and it drives perfectly. The 993 was introduced in April 1994 for the 1995 model year in North America and represents the final chapter of the legendary Air-Cooled 911 that first saw the road in 1963. The 993 contains 30 years of development to the platform adding many modern features. The 3.6 liter flat six air cooled engine rated at 272 HP mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox provides spirted performance. The multilink, coil-over rear suspension assists in making the handling of this rear engine sport car much more predictable than earlier incarnations.

I’ve owned and enjoyed several 993’s over the years going back to when they were new. It’s been a few years since I’ve had the pleasure of driving one so when this beauty came into inventory, I didn’t hesitate to take it for an extended test drive. It was like meeting an old friend that I hadn’t seen for a while, everything fell into place when I got behind the wheel and the memories of drives long past came flooding back. What a joy this time capsule 911 is! It provides much of the original 1960’s 911 experience with the added modern conveniences of, power steering/clutch/brakes and air conditioning that actually works. With the top down on a nice country back road, no modern car can replicate this experience! There is a reason that the 993 has now reached collector status.

My Impressions:

I’m fortunate to be able to drive and enjoy many different Porsche Sports Cars through my business, they are all exceptional in their own right/era. So far, I’ve only driven this car for a few miles, but it has left a huge positive impression on me, and I would be hard pressed to consider anything else if I was in the market to add a convertible to my stable this season.
